Matchdays and TJNo1CSC

Although we don't know who they were, the Johnstone No1 Celtic Supporters' Club was established in 1945 by some Celtic-minded Johnstonians. Amost in it's 75th year, the club still travels to each Celtic home match from Johnstone and the surrounding area.

For all matches at CP, the bus leaves the Howood Inn, Howood 1 hour and 45 minutes before kick-off with the Paddock Bar in Johnstone pick-up 15 minutes later. There are several stops between Howood and Johnstone.

The first pick-up is outside the Boarding House (formerly the Howood Inn), Howood (first departure time given). From there the bus travels along the Beith Road to Spateston and Corseford, picking up at both bus stops on the main road. The next place that you can catch the bus is at the bus stop opposite the Cochrane Castle housing estate on the Beith Road. From there it's onto the Silver Tassie bar at the top of the Thorn Brae and for the last stop in Johnstone the bus makes for the Paddock Bar in Quarry Street (second departure time given), through the High Street. The final stop for the bus before making for the motorway is at the bus stop before St Conval's RC Church in Bridge of Weir Road, Linwood.

We have members from Howood, Spateston, Corseford, Johnstone, Elderslie, Houston, Linwood, Brookfield and Bridge of Weir and all new members will be given a hearty welcome. Why not come along and give us a go. You don't have to worry about parking the car or getting public transport. Just relax on a well-run coach while we pick you up and take you home again. If you are interested in joining us in the Celtic cause please contact Joe on 01505672149 (after 6.30 pm) or Hugh on 07972207994 or email us at johnstone-no1@yahoo.com and we will get back to you asap.

Parking in Paradise

Glasgow City Council will impose a new set of parking restrictions that prohibits parking in an area one mile around Celtic Park. These changes will be implemented as a rolling programme from April 2018 and will be in place by next season. Save yourself the bother and join our Club. We park in an area specifically for coaches, just yards from Celtic Park.
